All the teachings from the Holy Bible stress the importance of the death of Christ on
the cross. Christ came to the world especially to die. What makes his death so important?
The answer is because he died bearing your sin instead of you.
And Christ offers himself as Savior from the condemnation of your sins if you believe in
Him.
Christ's act of substitution
This testifies to the depth of God's love. Sinners are guilty, lost, without any
help before the law of a Holy God who requires a penalty for sin. Romans 5:8. But God
demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The incarnate of God volunteered to take the place
1 Peter 3:18.
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God.
Jesus the bearer of sin
This testifies to the extent of God's holiness. The death of Christ was in no way
shrouded in falsehood. But the peanalty of death was paid in
Christ the Saviour
This testifies to God's power. His was three days after his death that.....
Acts 2:24
... God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was
impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
In Christ's resurrection from death God testified convincingly that accepted Christ's death for sinners as a complete atonement for sin, and as a condition which enables god to give his complete and free forgiveness to you and me so that we mat be delivered from hell.
